Boil half the water in a pan. Remove from the heat and add tea bags and allow them to steep for 10 minutes.

Remove the tea bags from the water. If adding sugar or sweetener, add this to the tea while still hot. Stir until the sugar has dissolved.

Add the remaining water to the tea then place in the fridge until fully chilled.

Serve with ice, lemon slices, and fresh mint if desired.
